Maggots in food aboard South African Airways SA160

I was quite amazed to see maggots in the food served to me on SA160 flight from Johannesburg to Mauritius. I showed the food to the senior hostess, she told me that its not her problem, but the food supplier. Talk of customer care (or lack thereof) :-(

And to think that you had had a fair of the food.... very disgusting!! SAA has always come off as very proffessional.. this is in reference to the flights to EBB. I suggest you should seriously pursue this and sue for everything under the sun... Sorry.

Sue, that should teach them not to be so complacent!

Belinda yes, it was quite annoying to see the creature after eating most of the food. If I had the time, I would certainly sue them. I am sure a couple of idle lawyers would take this on at their cost!

Have you considered that the maggots were part of the menu? There is what is called Mopane worms which are a BIGTIME delicacy in many parts of RSA. It is possible you ordered something that sounded like a French cuisine only to get the South African equivalent, hehe!
